Any website or person which holds themselves out as accepting deposit as Bank and Clients Plc (or B&C) is fraudulent. You should NOT transfer any monies to such entities.

B&C is no longer accepting deposits. All existing deposits will be returned to customers together with full interest due over the coming months. FAQ below.

B&C’s savings accounts are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme such that eligible depositors are entitled to claim compensation of up to £85,000 on their savings.

Your money is safe at B&C.

The Prudential Regulatory Authority and the Financial Conduct Authority are aware of B&C’s decision to repay deposits.

Funds deposited at B&C are protected by the FSCS up to the current limit of £85k per eligible customer.

The Bank is regulated by the Bank of England and has adequate financial resources as prescribed by the regulator.

You will receive the full balance including all interest that would normally have been on the maturity date.

Payment will be made on or around 6 April 2021.

If the maturity date is before 6 April 2021, your deposit will mature on the normal maturity date.

We will repay notice account holders over a period starting from 25 March 2021. You will receive accrued interest up to the repayment date plus an additional amount of interest equal to the notice period.

If you have provided us with notice to withdraw funds before 6 April 2021, this will be processed on the withdrawal/closure date we provided to you.

Yes, if you provide a request to us in writing, we will return your funds together with interest accrued to your nominated bank account. If we do not hold details of your nominated bank account on our system, you will need to provide us with a copy of a recent bank statement for verification purposes. You will not be charged a penalty for early withdrawal however you will not receive the additional interest equivalent to the notice period.

In normal circumstances, it is not possible to withdraw your savings early from your Fixed Term Account. In cases of financial hardship, we may be able to repay your deposit early, but in these circumstances, you would only receive interest up to the breakage date and would not receive the full interest payable at maturity.

B&C has no plans to offer savings products in the future.

B&C has surplus liquidity and has elected to stop accepting additional funds and is repaying all deposits.

We wrote to you on the 16th of December to explain that B&C has surplus liquidity and has elected to stop accepting additional funds, whilst considering the Banks’ future strategy. Because you tried to deposit funds after this date, we have returned the funds to your nominated bank account. You will receive a letter in the post confirming this.
